Preventative Maintenance

 

 

 

Our annual Paradigm Preventative Maintenance contracts can be set up for one to five years. Most new homeowners are not aware that new equipment warranty contracts are not transferable.  We have no problem transferring our Paradigm Preventative Maintenance contract from a current to new homeowner. Boilers

 

Do not store items near a boiler. Paint cans, gas, oil, snow blower or lawn equipment to list a few should not be anywhere around boilers. These items at proper temperature could cause an explosion. Let's all be safe. 

 

Forced Hot Water Boiler

 

 

Oil Boiler System cleaning and safety inspection should be done annually.

 

Gas Boiler System cleaning and safety inspection should be done annaully.

 

 

Kedel Boiler   

 

 

Kedel pellet boilers contain a self-cleaning heat exchanger, which means most of the cleaning associated with ash, the byproduct of burning pellets, is done by the system. Required cleaning is reduced to once or twice a year and can be performed by the homeowner or a certified installed.

 

Annual inspection for operational safety and warranty protection is required by a licensed installer. 

 

 

Furnaces

Maintaining records of maintenance and all repairs to support manufacturer, extended or home maintenance warranty contracts, or for the sale of your home is a good practice. Paradigm Plumbing, Heating and A/C keeps accurate and detailed reports of work performed, findings and recommendations. It is also our practice to label equipment serviced with our Paradigm tag giving you easy access and peace of mind on who to call for general care and in an emergency. Networking Success Story - Donna Mcdonough - New England Career Services

I have always been a strong advocate of networking.  I truly believe it is the backbone of my business!  It is so much easier to get your foot in the door if you have a personal contact within a company.  In today's busy workplace, people's time is limited.  Although I do cold calling, it has always been more productive for me when I can contact a company and refer to a networking contact to help reach the person I want to connect with.  I believe people feel more comfortable when there is a mutual contact.

Although I have been in the job placement industry for several years, I worked in direct sales for 18 years.  I was one of the top sales people in New England. I contributed my success to networking.  I would always ask for referrals and these referrals ultimately brought me more business.  One must realize that "no" does not always mean "no forever". I learned to keep the door open, and would always ask permission if I could follow up again in a few months.  The majority of the time, people welcomed a second phone call. 

Patience is a key factor in networking.  It takes time to build relationships.  I do not feel comfortable giving referrals to people until I get to know and trust them.  If one walks into a networking meeting and expects "instant referrals", they are setting themselves up for disappointment.  I facilitate a networking group called Business Supporting Business out of Nashua.  We pride ourselves on relationship building first....in time the referrals will come and they do come!

As a career counselor with New England Career Services LLC, it is so important for me to be able to reach out to a networking contact when I need help.  Not only do I assist people finding  employment, I also work with individuals who are trying to determine a new career path.  Informational interviews are a big part of my business.  Being able to sit down with someone and learn about what they do, what a typical day is like in their business, what training/education is necessary and what are the pros and cons of their industry have helped many of my clients make a more informed choice when deciding on a career path.

Friends of Kevin has been a great resource for me.  I know I can call Kevin and feel confident he can come up with a referral for me whenever I need assistance. In today's world, unfortunately it is "who you know versus what you know" that can help people find a job.  For anyone in the job market, network, network, network every day!  Let everyone know you are looking for work.  Your bank teller, you hairdresser, your financial adviser....it doesn't matter...just letting people know you are seeking a job can do wonders. 

 

It is important to look at networking as a partnership.  When I approach a networking event, I always walk in to a group thinking "how can I help someone?  According to Dale Carnegie, "You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you."

 I confess I'm not quite ready to let go of summer, but I can't deny the change of seasons starting all around me. Even if the leaves aren't fully changing yet, kids are back in school, fall sports are starting, and the general speed of life is picking up after the summer vacation time. So in the spirit of fall I'm sharing tips for packing healthy lunches without breaking the bank, and how to remain calm and keep your immunity up even as the stress levels of the season are increasing. Bridal Meetups with Wedding & Event Vendors

Hi Kevin,

 

I plan on hosting a series of Meetups for future brides who's interested in learning more about wedding planning.  It's a place where brides can come to learn more about what to expect when booking vendors, shopping for dresses and cakes, etc.  Would you please send this info to vendors who may find this valuable?  I'd love to be in touch with them.

 

  • It's super valuable for the bride to have access to experts in person.  She'd get to ask questions and be armed with more information.
  • It's super valuable for the vendor to have access to brides for market feedback or even sales opportunities.

 

The structure that I imagine:

  • Location: Perhaps where the vendor's shop is.
  • Expert: One vendor per Meetup who is the expert in their area, i.e. wedding cakes can give Brides a tips or advices when they are ready to go shopping.  
  • Give out goodie bags (provided by vendor).  It's optional.  But a good way to market.  
  • Q&A: Brides get to ask questions.  Exchange resources, etc.
  • Customer feedback for future Meetups.

I'm going to test the Meetup service to see how we can get brides to sign up.
